Kore'nin ünlü çam ormanı olarak bilinen Daegwallyeong Rekreasyon Orman'ı; yüksekliği 17m ve çevresi 36cm olan çam ağaçları ile doludur.
Yemyeşil bitki örtüsü ile çevrili bir vadiye yerleşmiş ve zevkli, uygun bir dinlenme yeri olarak belirlenmiştir. Binalarında konforlu konaklama ve kullanışlı özellikler vardır. Birçok aile ve çift; yabani çiçek bahçesini, sarı toprak sazdan kulübeyi, bir su değirmenini ve bir kömür, demir tencereyi ve sitede bulunan yemyeşil sahneyi görmek için buraya gelmektedir.
Ancak, konaklama tesislerinde gecelemek isteyenler için, konaklama yeri bir markete yakın olmadığı için, gıda ve yıkama aletleri getirmeleri uygun olur. Konaklama tesisleri gelince, Orman Kabinleri ve Orman Konaklamalari vardır. Orman evi aralığında fiyatlar, 32.000 98.000 ₩ ve 50.000 won, Orman kültürel rekreasyon merkezi için 110,000 won'dur.

Introduction
Daegwallyeong Recreational Forest, known as Korea’s famous pine tree forest, is full of pine trees that are about 17m in height and 36cm in circumference. It was designated as a suitable resting place to enjoy as it’s harmoniously situated in a valley surrounded by lush vegetation. There are comfortable lodging accommodations, and convenient facilities on the premises. Many family and couple visitors come here for the verdant scenery that includes a wild flower garden, yellow earth thatched cottage, a water mill, and a charcoal iron pot site. However, if plan to stay overnight at its lodging facilities it is good to bring food and washing utensils since there isn’t a convenient store nearby.
As for lodging facilities, there are the Forest Cabins and forest Lodge. Rates at the Forest House range from 32,000 won to 110,000won depending on the size and the forest cultural recreation center ranges from 50,000won to 98,000won.

Take an intercity bus to Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal.
From Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal, take a bus or a taxi to downtown Gangneung.
Get off at Sinyeong Theater.
Cross the road and take bus 503 at the bus stop in front of Gyobo Life Insurance.
Get off at Eoheul-ri (the last stop).
Walk for approx. 1.8 km to Daegwallyeong Recreational Forest.
