Bu festival ilk olarak 1997 yılında başladı ve Chuncheon kentinde düzenlenen giderek büyüyen bir festivaldir. Festival seminer konuşmacı olarak yerel ve uluslararası animasyon ilgili personelin davet ediyor. Festivalde ayrıca animasyon oluşturma yarışmalar kazanan ABD pazarında çok daha kolay girmek için bir fırsat sunmak için yürüyün Disney tarafından ortaklaşa sponsorluğunda tutar.

Introduction:
Chuncheon’s Anitown Festival first began in 1997, and is a steadily-growing festival held in the city of Chuncheon. The festival invites local and international animation related personnel as seminar speakers. The festival also holds animation creation contests co-sponsored by Walk Disney to offer the winner an opportunity to enter the US market much easier.
The festival not only offers the fun of animation, but also shows animations actually in progress. Therefore, not only do animation related personnel and business entities from all over the world attend the festival, but also animation fans gather together to enjoy the festival in Chuncheon.
About the Festival: Chuncheon Anitown Festival shows both short and long animation films. The festival also holds exhibitions, as well as both formal and informal events. The formal events include the opening ceremony, a concert show, and the finale ceremony. The exhibitions include professional exhibitions as well as special and regular exhibitions. The regular exhibitions features winning entries from the children’s animation competition from all over Korea, works from popular cartoonists, cartoon exhibition, company promotional booths, character exhibitions, and more.
The professional exhibitions are a combination of digital animation technology and seminars for animations manias and animation industry personnel seeking more advanced professional information on the latest in the animation industry. The special exhibitions include screenings of animation from all over the world, followed by Q&A sessions.
Also, during the festival a variety of events will be held, including a cartoon drawing contest, revival of famous cartoonists in history, multimedia picture shows, and more. Hands-on programs such as animation creation classes, puzzle-making classes, and learning magic classes are planned to make the festival even more entertaining. Other events include face painting, street mime shows, animation puppet shows, and much more.
Festival Highlights: If you are a fan of animation, this festival is perfect for you. The Costume Play Performance shows numerous characters and you can dress up and join in on the fun!
If you feel too shy to participate in the costume play, you can try the free face painting offered at the festival by choosing your favorite animation character.
