Christmas Lights Brighten Seoul

Noel Işıkları Seoul’u Aydınlatıyor


2 Aralık'ta dev bir Noel ağacı için Seoul Plaza'da bir aydınlatma töreni düzenleniyor. Ağaç, PyeongChang 2018 Olimpik ve Paralimpik Kış Oyunları için iki maskotun, beyaz Soohorang kaplanın ve Asyanın siyah ayısı Bandabi'nin heykellerinin ve önümüzdeki yılın Şubat ayında Kış Oyunları Açılış Töreni için gün sayan bir saat kulesinin yanında yer alıyor.

Noel ağacı Seoul Plaza’yı aydınlattı.

2 Aralık ışıklandırma töreni boyunca dev Noel ağacı maytaplar ve LED'lerle yanıp söndü. Birinci Kültür ve Spor Başkanı Yardımcısı Na Jong-min, Ürdün Seul Büyükelçisi Adel Adaileh, ABD Büyükelçiliği'nden Marc Knapper ayrıca polis memurları, itfaiyeciler, taksi şoförleri, askerler, Kuzey Kore'li sığınmacılar ve göçmenler de törene katıldı.

Tabanda 25 metre yüksekliğinde ve 12 metre genişliğindeki ağaç, beyaz Soohorang kaplanı heykellerinin ve siyah Asyanın siyah ayısı Bandabi'nin, PyeongChang 2018 Olimpik ve Paralimpik Kış Oyunları'nın resmi maskotlarının ve Oyunların Açılıp Törenine sayım yapan bir saat kulesinin yanına yerleştirildi.


Seoul Plaza'daki 25 metrelik Noel ağacı 7 Ocak 2018 tarihine kadar aydınlanacak.

Kış ve yıllık tatilleri karşılayan Seoul Plaza'daki bir Noel ağacı, 2002'den beri 16 yıldır her kışta kurulmuştur. Sadece yerliler için değil turistler için de görülmesi gereken bir yer haline geldi.

Ağaç 7 Ocak 2018 tarihine kadar her akşam saat 5: 30'dan başlayarak aydınlatılacak.

A lighting ceremony for a giant Christmas tree is held at Seoul Plaza on Dec. 2. The tree is next to statues of the two mascots for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Soohorang the white tiger and Bandabi the Asiatic black bear, and a clock tower that's counting down the days to the Winter Games Opening Ceremony in February next year.

A Christmas tree has brought light to Seoul Plaza.

The giant Christmas tree was lit up with flashes of fire crackers and LEDs during the lighting ceremony on Dec. 2. A couple thousand of guests, including First Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Na Jong-min, Jordanian Ambassador to Seoul Adel Adaileh, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy Marc Knapper, as well as police officers, fire fighters, taxi drivers, soldiers, North Korean defectors and immigrants, attended the ceremony.

The tree, 25 meters high and 12 meters wide at the base, was placed next to statues of Soohorang the white tiger and Bandabi the Asiatic black bear, the official mascots for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and a clock tower that's counting down the days to the Games' Opening Ceremony.

A Christmas tree at Seoul Plaza has been set up every winter for 16 years so far, ever since 2002, welcoming the winter and yearly holidays. It has become a must-see attraction, not just for locals but for tourists, too.

The tree will be lit every evening starting at 5:30 p.m. until Jan. 7, 2018.
