Temellerin Atilimi

1954: Suncheon Il Yüksek Teknik Okulu Hemsirelik için- Chonnam Ili’nin dogu kisminda ilk bayan mesleki egitim organizasyonuna baslar.
1973:Suncheon Ili Hemsirelik Kurumu, üniversite mevkisine yükseltildi.
1983: Il Milli Egitim Cheongam Akademisi’nin yeni kurucusu, Yönetici Dr. Gang Giltae olarak degistirildi. ‘’ileriye yeni bir atilim’’
1984: Kampus bugünki yerine tasindi. ‘’Deokwol-dong döneminin açilisi’’
1993: Suncheon Üniversitesi, General Üniversitesi olarak degistirildi.

Ileriye Atilim

1998: Suncheon Cheongam Koleji olarak degistirildi. ‘’Daha büyük bir dünyaya uçus’’
2000: Cheongam Üniversite binasinin insasi tamamlandi. Gurye Sehri Ofis kampusu kuruldu. Venture Kuluçka Merkezi açildi.
Kara Ordusu Birligi 7391’le askeri-akademik bir sözlesme imzalandi.
2002: Yaslilar için Yesou Sosyal Yardim Merkezini kurdu.
2003: Akedemik Bilgi Merkezi’nin insasi tamamlandi.
Suncheon Hapishanesi’nde Gyeongnam Sacheon Kampusu ve Seonpyeong Kampusu kuruldu.
Üniversite’de, Uluslar arasi Stajlar düzenlendi.
2004: Cheongam Gida’yla kurulan okul ortakligi Egitim, Bilim ve Teknoloji Bakanligi tarafindan desteklendi.
2005: Goheung, Oenarodo’da bulunan bulunan) Yeompo Egitim Kurumu açildi.
Bakalorya kurslari basladi.(Kredi banka sistemi)
2006: Egitim, Bilim ve Teknoloji Bakanligi tarafindan Mali Yardim Projesinin 3 kategorisinde Mükemmel Üniversite olarak aday gösterildi.
Uluslararasi Stajlarindan dolayi Üstün Nitelikli Üniversite olarak adlandirildi.
Karargâh Deniz Kuvvetleri Kolordusuyla askeri-akademik bir anlasma imzalandi.
2007: Japonya’daki Osaka Egitim Kurumuna bagli üniversite açildi.

Gelisim

2008: Bakalorya kurslari (yogun olan önemli kurslar) açildi. 7 bölüm. Istihdam için seçildi.
Egitimsel-Endüstriyel Isbirligi Programindaki anlasma projesi: Otel yönetim kurulunun bölümü.
2009: Egitim, Bilim ve Teknoloji Bakanligi tarafindan Üniversitede Egitim Güçlendirme Projesi için seçildi.
Cheongam Saglik Yardim Merkezi’nin insasi tamamlandi.
Üniversite Ögrencileri Gelistirme programlarinda bir pilot okul olarak aday gösterildi.
Teknik Memurlar için Küçük ve Orta Ticaret Yönetiminin Tesvik Programi için seçildi.
Uluslar arasi Müsteri Memnuniyeti’nde 148 üniversite içinde 7.lik basarisini kazandi. (Kore Verimlilik Merkezinin yönetiminde)
2010: 22 dalda (Dogal Bilimde 8, Mühendislikte 3, Insan ve Toplum Hizmetlerinde 10, Sahne Sanatlari ve Beden Egitiminde1) Egitim, Bilim ve Teknoloji Bakanligi tarafindan Egitim Güçlendirme Projesi için aday gösterildi.
2010.3.1: Okulun ismi Cheongam Üniversitesi olarak degistirildi.

Sembolü

Üniversitemizin sembolü, cheongam’in ilk ve büyük harfi olan ‘’C’’ nin kullanildigi devamli bir motiftir. Bu, global bir lider olarak ve önde gelen uluslar arasi ticarette üniversite görüsünü gösteren ‘’Cheongam Atilimi’’ slogani, Cheongam Üniversitesi’nin görsel bir simgesidir.

Laying the Foundations

1954: Suncheon Provincial Higher Technical School for Nursing - Starting as the first women's vocational training organization in the eastern part of Chonnam Province
1973: Suncheon Provincial Nursing Institution is raised to the status of college
1983: Changed to the Provincial Education Foundation Cheongam Academy as the new founder
(Director Dr. Gang Giltae) 'making a new leap forward'
1984: Relocated to present campus. 'Opening the era of Deokwol-dong' 1993: Suncheon College changed to General College

Leaping Forward

1998 Renamed as Suncheon Cheongam College. 'Fly to a bigger world'
2000 Completed the construction of Cheongam Hall. Established Gurye Country Office Campus. Opened the Venture Incubation Center. Signing of a military-academic agreement with Army Unit 7391.
2002 Set up Yeosu Welfare Center for the elderly. "
2003 Completed the construction of Academic Information Center. Established Gyeongnam Sacheon Campus and Seonpyeong Campus at Suncheon Prison. Operated International Internships at the College.
2004 Founded the school company, Cheongam Food, supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
2005 Opened Yeompo Training Institution (located in Oenarodo, Goheung). Started Bachelor's Degree courses

2006 Nominated for Excellent College in three catagories of Financial Aid Project by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. (2007, 2008 2-year project) Designated as Superior College for international internships Signed an
military-academic agreement with Headquarters Marine Corps.
2007 Opened the college affiliated Osaka Training Institution in Japan.

Development

2008 Opened Bachelor's Degree courses(intensive major courses) : 7 departments. Selected for the Employment
Agreement project in the Educational-Industrial Cooperation Program : Department of Hotel Management
2009 Selected for the Education Empowerment Project in College by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Completed the construction of Cheongam Health Welfare Center.
Nominated as a pilot school in improving undergraduate programs. Selected for the Support Project of Youth Agency involved in community services.
Selected for the Small and Medium Business Administration's Promoting Program for Technical Officer.
Scored 7th among 148 colleges in National Customer Satisfaction. (Conducted by the Korea Productivity Center)
2010 Operating 22 departments
(8 in Natural Science, 3 in Engineering, 10 in Humanities and Social Services, 1 in Performing Arts and Physical Education) Nominated for the Education Empowerment Project by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
2010 3.1 Changing of school name to Cheongam University.
