Cheong Gye Cheon Museum / 청계천 박물관

Cheonggyecheon Müzesi, resmi olarak 26 Eylül 2005 tarihinde açıldı. Müzenin uzun camlarla kaplı dış cephesi, Seoul'ün kalbine doğru akan Cheonggyecheon Nehri'nin sularının akışını yansıtıyor. Müzenin kalıcı sergi salonu, özel sergi salonu, eğitsel salonu ve konferans salonu bulunmaktadır.

Kalıcı sergi salonu, Cheonggyechen Nehri'nin önceki ve sonraki dönüşümünü, Seoul'ün temsili gösterimi bulunmaktadır. Özel sergi salonu, Cheonggyecheon Nehri ile bağlantılı olmayan, ama kültürel ulusal ve kentsel durumlarla ilgili olan çeşitli konulardaki sergilerin yapıldığı yerdir. Ek olarak, müze kültürel performanslar ve çocuklar için eğitici programlar da düzenlemektedir.

Nehir Binasının Dönemi

1411 yılında Kral Taejong, hükümetin içinde nehir ve setlerin mühendisliğinden sorumlu olan bir bölüm kurdu (Gaegeodogam, daha sonraki adı Gaecheondogam). Chungcheong, Jeolla ve Gyeongsang eyaletlerinden yaklaşık 52,800 işçi iki ay boyunca çalışarak Gaecheon'da doğal bir nehrin dönüştürülmesinde çalıştı. Yapılan o çalışmayla 600 yılı aşkın akan Gaecheon süredir şehir sakinlerinin günlük yaşamlarının vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelmiştir.

Cheonggyecheon Nehri, Cheonggyero Yolu

Japon işgali döneminde Cheonggyecheon'un lakabı "şehrin kanseri"ydi ve set yolu da "katil yol" olarak adlandırılmıştı. Kaplama inşaatı 1958 yılında başladı ve 1977 yılında tamamlandı. Cheonggyecheon (Cheonggye Nehri), Cheonggye Yolu'na dönüştü ve Kore'nin sanayileşmesine ön ayak olan pazarlar ve fabrikalar kuruldu.

Cheonggyecheon Yenileme Projesi
Cheonggyecheon'da 5.84km koridorun yenilendiği bu restorasyon projesi 2 yıl 3 ayda tamamlandı.

Alan 4
"Yenileme"den Sonraki On Yıl
Ekim 2015'te Cheonggyecheon'un Yenilenmesi'nin 10. yılı dönümü kutlandı. Bu proje, nispeten kısa bir zaman dilimini almış olsa da nehrin içine gömülen tehlikeli ve yıpranmış beton yapıları, eğlenceli dere kenarı ve temiz suya dönüştürdü.

The Cheonggyecheon Museum officially opened on September 26, 2005. The museum’s long, glass exterior represents the flowing waters of Cheonggyecheon Stream, which run through the heart of Seoul. The museum has a permanent exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, educational hall, and an auditorium.

The permanent exhibition hall contains visual representations of Seoul before and after the transition of Cheonggyecheon Stream. The special exhibition hall holds exhibitions on diverse themes not only related to Cheonggyecheon Stream, but also to the diverse cultural aspects of the city and the nation. In addition, the museum offers a variety of cultural performances and hands-on learning programs for children.

Zone 1
The Era of Building a Stream
In 1411, King Taejong established a department within the government (Gaegeodogam, later renamed Gaecheondogam) responsible for engineering the stream and building levees. Around 52,800 workers from Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang Provinces worked for two months to transform what was a natural stream into a Gaecheon. Since then, the Gaecheon has been flowing for more than 600 years as an inextricable part of the city residents' everyday lives.

Zone 2
Cheonggyecheon Stream, Cheonggyero Road
Cheonggyecheon's nickname during the Japanese occupation period was 'city's cancer', and the levee road was dubbed 'killer road.' The construction to cover it finally began in 1958 and was completed in 1977. Cheonggyecheon became Cheonggye Road, and markets and factories were built next to it to lead Korea's industrialization.

Cheonggyecheon Restoration Project
The restoration Project was completed after 2 years and 3 months, restoring Cheonggyecheon over its 5.84km corridor.

Zone 4
Ten Years after the 'Restoration'
October 2015 marks the 10th anniversary of Cheonggyecheon's "restoration." It took relatively a short period of time to transform it from a stream buried underneath unsafe and aging concrete structures to one with clean water and recreational waterfronts.

Walk toward the street between Nonghyup and Yongdu Park.
