Daegu Katolik Üniversitesi Güney Kore'nin en büyük Katolik üniversitedir.
Ana kampüs Daeugu'nun dışında kalan komşu şehir Gyeongsan'dadır ve Daegu'da 2 kampüs bulunmaktadır. Üniversiteye yaklaşık 17.000 öğrencinin kaydı yapılmaktadır.

Tarih
1 Kasım 1914 tarihinde Daegu'da açıldı.
Aziz Justino Seminary tarafından 1914 yılının Mayıs ayında kurulmuştur.
Okulun ilk dört rektörü Fransız misyonerlerdi.
Choi Min-sun ilk Koreli rektördü ve 1945 yılında göreve geldi, ancak fakültenin son rektörü oldu. O yıl çalkantılar nedeniyle fakülte kapandı.
1952 yılında Hyosung Women's Junior College kuruldu ve 150 öğrenciye müzik, edebiyat ve ev ekonomisi alanlarında eğitim vermeye başladı.
Ertesi yıl, o da farmakoloji öğretim sunan, dört yıllık bir üniversite oldu.
Üniversite, 1972 yılında enstitü kurulması ve 1980 yılında üniversite statüsü kazanmasından dolayı önümüzdeki yıllarda sürekli olarak genişlemeye devam etti.

The Catholic University of Daegu is the largest Catholic-affiliated university in South Korea.
The main campus is located some distance outside Daegu in neighboring Gyeongsan City, with two smaller campuses within Daegu.
The university enrolls about 17,000 students.

History
The St. Justino Seminary, from which the university claims descent, opened in Daegu on November 1, 1914, having been founded in May of that year.
The first four rectors of the school were French missionaries.
The first Korean rector, Fr. Choi Min-sun, who took up the post in 1945, was also the last rector of the seminary, which closed due to the turbulent events of that year.
In 1952, the Hyosung Women's Junior College (효성여자초급대학) was established, offering instruction to 150 students in the fields of music, literature, and home economics.
The following year, it became a four-year college, also offering instruction in pharmacology.
The college continued to expand steadily in the following years,
establishing its graduate school in 1972 and gaining university status in 1980.
