Seocheon'un Maryang-ri'si 500 yaşındaki kamelya ormanına sahip, bu yüzden "169. Doğal Anıt" seçilmiştir. Bu ormanın ismi Maryang-ri Kamelya Ormanı’dır ve Seocheon'un batı denizine nazır küçük bir tepede yer alır. Tepenin zirvesinde Dongbaek Köşkü, kenarlarında iki parça ve önünde üç parçayla orta ölçekli bir köşktür. Çamlar, park alanı kısmı boyunca Kamelya Ormanı üstünde deniz tarafından görkemli bir orman oluşturmuş. Burası boş zamanı değerlendirmek ve çamlar boyunca görünen Sarı Deniz ile sohbet etmek için turistler tarafından sevilir.

Camellia Forest

Location: Maryang-ri, Seo-myeon, Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam Province.

Maryang-ri of Seocheon has a 500-year-old camellia forest that was appointed 169th Natural Memorial. The name of this forest is Maryang-ri Camellia Forest and it is located on a small hill facing the western sea of Seocheon. Dongbaek Pavilion at the top of the hill is a mid-sized pavilion with three units in front and two units on sides. If you follow the traffic line, you will find a beautiful painting of five powers between the columns supporting the second front unit. It represents a considerable arrangement of the designer for the tourists.

Camellia Forest of Maryang-ri is located in the east opposite the seas. The entrance to the forest is so narrow that even an elementary school student should lean forward in order to go through the luxuriant leaves and branches. The 500-year-old camellia forest entered through a narrow entrance has thick and fan-shaped branches representing he 50 year old history.

Blooming extraordinarily red blossoms from Mar to Apr through the severe winter winds of Yellow Sea, the forest gives unique impressions and keeps the blossoms through May to greet the visitors until the late spring.

The delicate camellia forest with blowing blossoms leads to Dongbaek Pavilion where you can view the peaceful Yellow Sea with fishing boats and the beautiful painting of five powers. The painting harmonizing with the seas is another beauty of this place. The camellia forest and the sea-pines can also be viewed on the hill. The sea-pines are forming a splendid forest by the sea over the camellia forest through the parking lot. This is loved by the tourists for recreation and chatting with the Yellow Sea viewed through the pines.
