Boohwal ( 부활 )



1985 yılında Kim Tae Won liderliğinde kurulmuştur. Kim Jong Seo vokalistliğinde 3 üyeyle The End adı altında kurulmuştur. İlk yıllarında kendi şarkıları yoktu ve Stairway to Heaven gibi batı rockının ünlü şarkıları söylüyorlardı.

1986'da Kim Jong Seo ayrıldıktan sonra , Lee Seung Chul gruba üye olmuştur ve adlarını Boohwal olarak değiştirmişlerdir.İlk albümlerini 1986 yılında yayınlamışlardır. “Heeya” (희야) Kore’de hit bir şarkı olmuştur. Ama çok az kişi bu şarkının arkasında Boohwal’ı biliyordu. Lee Seung Chul’un adı tüm grubu aşmıştı ve Heeya'nın Lee Seung Chul'a ait olduğunu düşünüyorlardı. . Lee Seung Chul 2. albümün sonuna kadar grupta kaldı ve daha sonra solo kariyer için gruptan ayrıldı. Kim Tae Won , 3. albüm için grup yeniden bir araya gelinceye kadar bir çok projede çalıştı.
Grup yeniden oluşturulunca , 1993 yılında içinde hit şarkılarından “사랑할수록” (The More I Love) un da bulunduğu 3. albümlerini yayınladılar . Albüm çok başarılı oldu ve bunda kısmen Kim Jae Gi (김재기)’nin duygusal hikayeside etkili oldu. Kim Jae Gi kaydın başında bir trafik kazasında öldü. Kim Jae Gi’nin ölümünden sonra sesini andıran küçük kardeşi Kim Jae Hee(김재희) keşfedildi. 3.albümde herhangi bir şarkı için kayıt yapmadı ama daha sonra grubun resmi vokalisti oldu ve 4. albüm için kayıt yaptı. Ne yazık ki , albüm başarısız oldu. Kim Jae Hee , 4.albümden sonra Boohwal’dan ayrıldı. Bundan sonra her albümde Boohwal’ın vokalisti değişti.

80lerin aksine rock müzik, Kore’de dans müziğinin de ortaya çıkmasıyla 90larda pek başarılı olmadı. Bu süre içerisinde Kim Tae Won, diğer rock gruplarına olduğu gibi ortadan kaybolmadan Boohwal’ı muhafaza etti.
1997 yılında Kim Tae Won diğer yetenekli vokalist Park Wan Kyu’yu keşfetti ve 5.albüm için kayıta girdi. Park Wan Kyu , Boohwal’ın hit şarkılarından biri olan Lonely Night’ı seslendirmiştir. Bu şarkıyla Kore müzik piyasasında bir kez daha hit bir şarkı yapmayı başarmışlardır.Park, Boohwal’la fazla uzun süre kalmadı ve Kim Tae Won yeni vokalist aramaya başladı.

1999 yılında Kim Ki-Yeon (김기연) grubun vokalisti olmuştur ve 6. albümde yer almıştır. Şu anki grubun davulcusu olan Chae Jae Min ve basçısı Seo Jae Hyuck da bu yıl gruba katılmıştır.

7.albümün vokalisti Lee Seong Wook (이성욱) tur ve Lee Seung Chul , 8.albüm ve 2002 yılı konserleri için Boohwal’la kontrat imzalamıştır. 8.albümün başlığı olan Never Ending Story , Korenin ölümsüz şarkılarından biridir.

Jung Dong Ha ( gerçek ismi Jung Je Hwan ) , 2005 yılında grubun vokalisti oldu ve halen de grubun vokalisti olarak devam etmektedir. Boohwal , 2005de 20.yıl dönümünü kutladı. 20 yıldan fazla müzik yapan en ünlü Koreli gruplardan biri olmuştur. Yetenekli vokalistler ve müzisyenlerle müzik yapmaya devam etmektedirler.

Jung Dong Ha Boohwal'dan Evermore Music ile Solo Kariyere Yöneliyor

Yetenekli vokalist Jung Dong Ha bu yıl Boohwal'dan ayrılışıyla ve evliliğiyle büyük değişikliklikler yaptı.(2014) Şarkı söylemeye yeni ajansı Evermore Music ile devam ediyor.


Grup, 2014 yılında yeni solistleri Kim Dong Myung ile yoluna devam ediyor.

Boohwal ( 부활 )

Started in 1985 with Kim Tae-Won (김태원) as the leader. There were originally three members, with Kim Jong-Seo (김종서) as the vocalist. Back then, they did not have their own songs, so they played “copy-music”, famous western rock songs, such as “Stairway to Heaven” and such. The band was called ”The End” back then.

Kim Jong-Seo left “The End” in 1986, and Lee Seung Chul (이승철) joined the band as they was re-born with the name”Boohwal” (부활). They released the first album in 1986. “Heeya” (희야) became a hit song in Korea, but few people remember this band behind the song. Lee Seung Chul’s name overcome the whole band, and a lot remember this song as his debut song instead of the band’s. Lee stayed with the band until the second album that featured the song “The Last Concert” (마지막 콘서트) and left for his solo carrier. Kim Tae Won worked on many side projects until getting the band together for their 3rd album.
After regrouping, they released their third album in 1993 featuring the hit single “사랑할수록” (Sarang hal soo rok – The More I Love). The album was a success, partly due to the emotional story of Kim Jae Gi (김재기), the original vocalist at the start of the recording, who died in a traffic accident. After the death of Kim Jae Gi, Kim Jae Hee(김재희), who was the younger brother of Kim Jae Gi, was scouted by Kim since the voice color resembled his brother. He did not record any of the songs on the third album, but he later became the official vocalist and went on to record the fourth album. Unfortunately, the album was a failure. Kim Jae Hee left Boohwal after the fourth album.

Unlike in the 80s, rock music in Korea didn't fare well in the 90s, with the emergence of dance music as the most popular genre of music. Although Kim Tae Won kept Boohwal (부활) from disappearing as many other rock bands did during that time, they went through many lineup changes.
In 1997, Kim discovered another talented vocalist, Park Wan Kyu (박완규) and recorded Boohwal's 5th album with their title song "Lonely Night." They succeed making a big hit in the Korean music industry once again. Park did not stay long with Boohwal, and Boohwal started another search for a new vocalist.

Kim Ki-Yeon (김기연) recorded the 6th album, with the title song “Possibility” (가능성). Drummer Chae Je-Min (채제민)joined the band starting from this album. Bassist Seo Jae-Hyuck (서재혁) joined the band with the release of this very album in 1999.
Lee Seong Wook (이성욱) recorded the 7th album, and Lee Seung Chul signed a contract with Boohwal for his 2002 concert and recorded the 8th album. “Never Ending Story“, the title song of the 8th album is said to be one of Korea’s eternal songs..

In 2005, Jung Dong Ha (정동하) (real name Jeong Je-Hwan-정재환) became Boohwal’s 9th vocalist and have loyally stayed with the band since. 2005 marked Boohwal's 20th year anniversary. They have been one of the most prominent Korean bands, making music for more than 20 years. They continue to create melodic rock with talented vocalists and talented musicians. 12 Nisan 1965 yılında doğmuştur. Evlidir ve 2 çocuğu vardır. Boohwal’ın gitaristi ve lideridir. Ayrıca Boohwal için birçok şarkı yazmıştır. Birkaç farklı üniversitede gitar öğretiyor. Paul Geppetto Guitars adı altında kendi gitar fabrikası vardır ve Bornstar Enterteinment’ın ceosudur.
