Seoul'ün sehir merkezi Shinmoonro'da 7 Mayis 2003'te resmen açildigindan beri çok yetenekli sanatçilari, sergiler, sanat forumlari ve konferanslar ile tanitti.

"Last.fm 'Genç Sanatçilar" programi araciligi ile, 6 sanatçiyi kesfettik ve sürekli destekliyoruz. Ayrica 35 ve 40 yas arasindaki, sanatçilar, sanat dünyasinda ortaya çikarildi. 2 yil boyunca devam eden Artforum programi sayesinde, sanatçilarin ve eserlerinin derinlemesine anlasilmasi mümkün kilindi.

Kore'nin Seoul'deki ilindeki COEX KIAF (uluslarasi sanat fuari)'a 3 yil üstüste katildik ve çagdas sanat eserleri için yurtdisi müzayedeler de basarili bir satis yaptik. 2007 yilindan itibaren bu yetenekli sanatçilari desteklemek için yurtdisinda sanat fuarlarina katiliyoruz. Bu sanatçilarin bazilari zaten Kore sanat camiasinda ilerlemekte ve ülke içinde ve disinda kabul edilmektedir.

2005'in sonbaharinda, Hyehwa Istasyonu'nun 4. çikisinin, 4 nolu yayayolununu yakinlarinda, Daehakro'da ikinci bir sergi salonu olan Newgate_East'i açtik. Newgate_East, sanatin daha da sevdirilmesi konusunda popüler bir yere dönüsecek. Kararli destek ve sanat aski ile, biz Artforum Newgate ve Newgate_East'de, genç ve yetenekli sanatçilari kesfetmek ve onlari vaat ettiginiz gibi desteklemek için elimizden geleni yapacagiz.

Since the inauguration on May 7, 2003 in downtown Seoul of Shinmoonro, Artforum Newgate has introduced many talented artists with exhibitions, art forums, and lectures.

Via our "Discover Young Artists" program, we discovered and consistently supported 6 artists. Also the artists between the age 35 and 40 were given the exposure to the art world. By the Artforum program which continued for 2 years, in depth understanding of the artists and their works were made possible.

We also participated for 3 consecutive years in KIAF (an international art fair) in COEX, Seoul, Korea, and we made successful sales at overseas auctions for contemporary artworks. From 2007 we will participate in art expos and artfairs overseas to promote these talented artists. Some of these artists are already making progress in the art community of Korea and are being recognized in and outside of the country.

In the autumn of 2005, we opened a second exhibition hall at Daehakro, close to exit 4 of Hyehwa station, subway no. 4, the Newgate_East. The Newgate_East will develop into a place for further popularization of art. With your steady support and love for art, we at the Artforum Newgate and the Newgate_East will do our best to discover young and talented artists and support them as promised.
