Anyang Yabancı Dil Lisesi(안양외국어고등학교) 1997 yılında özel bir kurum olarak kuruldu. Gyounggi eyaletinde Anyang’da bulunmaktadır. Bu lise özellikle İngilizce, Japonca ve Çince üzerine eğitim verebilmek amacıyla kurulmuştur. Öğrenci sayısı şu anlarda 1.200 civarındadır. Her yıl İngilizce(4),Japonca(3) ve Çince(3) olmak üzere üç ders görülür.(Toplam 10 kredi)Aslına bakılırsa Türkiye’deki Anadolu Lisesinin bir karşılığı gibi de görülebilir.

Okul Sistemi:

Anyang Yabancı dil Lisesinin sistemi genel olarak kalıplaştırılmış lise sisemine benzemez. Zaten bu okulun kuruluş amacında da bu vardır.Örneğin ders saatinin baslayıp bittiğini haber veren öğrenci zili yoktur.Bu da öğretmen ve öğrencilere özerklik tanındığının kanıtıdır.Ayrıca öğrencilerin kendi çalışma grupları vardır.Her öğrenci gurubu kendilerine göre belirledikleri konuda tartışarak kendilerini eğitir.Okul özel bilgisayar kurulumuna da sahiptir.Öğrenciler diledikleri zaman açılan kurslara katılabilir ve evde özel bilgisayar programlarını kullanabilmeleri için açılan kurslarda bu özel programları öğrenebilirler.Bu uygulamanın benzeri pek çok üniversitede de yapılmaktadır.

Okulun birden çok kardeş okul ile bağlantısı vardır. Bu liseler sırasıyla:

Hanoi - Amsterdam High School….Vietnam.
Öğrenciler bir yılda birden fazla olmak üzere kardeş okullarını ziyeret edip bir haftalığına farklı kültürlerle iç içe olabilme şansına sahip olabilmektedirler.(Japonya, Çin ve Singapur’a gidiliyormuş)

Öğrenci Klüpleri:

Okulda 50’den fazla aktif klüp bulunmaktadır. Öğrenciler istediklerine katılabilmektedirler. EDIT, UNESCO ve Silchunsarang bu klüplerden bazıları ayrıca spor klüpleri dil klüpleri ve gezi klüpleri de bunlara eklenebilir.

Öğretmen değerlendir(il)me sistemi:

Sömestir bitiminde öğrenciler dersliklerinde öğretmenlerinden istedikleri herşeyi bir kağıda yazarlar. Bu iyi bir şey ya da okul ilkeleri hakkında kötü bir şey de olabilir. Böylece öğretmenler bu notlardan yararlanarak yeni döneme hazırlık yapmış olur.

Anyang Foreign Language High School

Anyang Foreign Language High School was established as a self-supporting school in 1997. It is located in Anyang in Gyounggi province, South Korea. It is designed for the study of English, Chinese, and Japanese. The number of students is currently 1,200. Each grade has 10 classes: English major (4), Chinese major (3), Japanese major (3).
School system
AFLHS avoids conventions of education in Korea. For example, the school has no bells to begin or end classes. This means autonomy of both teachers and students. Students also have their own study groups. In each study group, students have debates and discussions on their favorite topics. The school has a computer registration program for taking special courses. All students can register courses that they want to take by using the special computer program at home. It is like the current system of many universities.

Cultural exchange

The school has many sistership schools abroad: Delhi Public School in India, Waseda University in Japan, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School in Vietnam and more. Students visit sister schools more than once a year. Students from sistership schools experience homestays with A.F.L.H.S. students, as well. Every year, students go abroad for a week to experience foreign cultures: Japan, China, and Singapore. Students have cultural exchanges with undergraduate students of Waseda University and the National University of Singapore.

Club activities

There are currently more than 50 clubs for extra activities. Student can join the clubs they want, such as EDIT (English Journal), UNESCO (volunteer work), Silchunsarang (sign language), and many sports, language, and broadcasting clubs. A student can join more than one club so they experience various kinds of activities.

Teacher evaluation system

At the end of a semester, students evaluate their homeroom teacher and their subject teachers. Students can write whatever they want about teachers. They can also point out good things and bad things about school policies. The teacher evaluation allows teachers to have the time to review the last semester and to prepare for the next semester.
