DBP Başkanın Emeklilik Evi Skandalı üzerine Savcılığı Kınadı
Ana muhalefetteki Demokrat Birleşik Parti, Devlet Başkanı Lee Myung-bak’ın şimdi yıkık olan huzurevinin inşa projesine karışan insanlara karşı savcıların kararının suçlamaları geçersiz kılmasını eleştirdi.
DBP yolsuzluk davaları soruşturma özel komitesi başkanı Lee Seok-hyun Ulusal Meclis’te partinin, dava için meclis soruşturması isteyeceğini söyledi. Ayrıca DBP Adalet Bakanı Kwon Jae-jin’in bu mesele üzerine istifa ettiğini görmeyi amaçladığını da söyledi.
Lee; Son davayı soruşturma yerine savcılık, hükümetin atadığı bir savunma avukatına haline gelmiş görünüyor.
Temsilci Woo Sang-ho DBP Yüksek Kurulu toplantısında yaptığı konuşmada savcılığın son davayı araştırma hakkını bıraktığını söyledi.
Sonra da sorumluların cezalandırılmasını isteyerek, Ulusal Meclis’in gerçeği ortaya çıkarmak için bütün gücünü kullanmasını önemle belirtti.

The main opposition Democratic United Party (DUP) has denounced prosecutors’ decision to void charges against people allegedly involved in a now-scrapped project to build President Lee Myung-bak’s retirement home.
The head of the DUP’s special committee on probing corruption cases, Lee Seok-hyun, told reporters at the National Assembly on Monday that the party will seek a parliamentary investigation into the case. He also said the DUP aims to see that Justice Minister Kwon Jae-jin resign over the matter.
Lee said that instead of probing the recent case, the prosecution seems to have become a government-appointed defense counsel for the presidential office.
Representative Woo Sang-ho told a meeting of the DUP Supreme Council that the prosecution had abandoned its right to investigate in the recent case.
He then stressed the need for the National Assembly to mobilize all its powers to unveil the truth, urging that those responsible be penalized.
